What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of skin by removing outer layers and accelerating skin regeneration.

Is a chemical peel safe?

Chemical peels are one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of skin. Image products can be customized. This means that a program can be created for your specific skin type and needs.

Which skin conditions are helped by chemical peels?

Chemical peels can improve acne or acne scars, age and liver spots, fine lines and wrinkles, irregular skin pigmentation, rough skin, scars, sun damaged skin.

Do I need to prepare ahead of time?

No. However, for best results, it is recommended that you follow a pre-treatment program for 2 weeks prior to skin treatment. A specific program can be recommended during your consultation.

How long will I “peel” for following a treatment?

Peeling, sloughing , and flaking of the skin are possible side effects from the peel. Success of a peel is measured by skin improvement, not the amount of peeling. Image chemical peels are designed to support the skin during the rejuvenation process, which results in less visible side effects. If peeling does occur, it will typically occur on days 2-4 following treatment and resolve by days 6 or 7.
